Welcome to Ionia Media, Inc., doing business as Story Prism (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, writing platform, and services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Account Registration
   • To access our platform, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
2. Subscription Plans and Payment
   • We offer a free trial and three paid subscription tiers:
   • Free Trial: Includes up to 50 AI generations.
   • Basic Plan: $10/month or $96/year — Access to all templates, notebook memory up to 25,000 characters, 350 AI generations/month.
   • Standard Plan: $20/month or $192/year — Notebook memory up to 50,000 characters, 500 generations/month.
   • Premium Plan: $40/month or $384/year — Notebook memory up to 100,000 characters, 750 generations/month.
   • All payments are processed via Stripe, and your subscription will auto-renew unless canceled before the next billing cycle. Refunds are not guaranteed but may be issued at our discretion.
3. Use of the Service
   • The platform allows you to interact with an AI assistant using a canvas-based interface. You can drop notes and prompts which inform your assistant during the writing process.
   • Generations refer to AI responses and are limited based on your plan. Unused generations do not roll over.
   • The platform uses artificial intelligence to generate content based on user prompts. AI responses are automatically generated and may contain inaccuracies, biased perspectives, or inappropriate suggestions. We do not guarantee the factual accuracy, originality, or suitability of generated content. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all content before use, distribution, or publication.
   • You agree not to:
   • Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or offensive purposes.
   • Attempt to reverse engineer or interfere with the Service or its underlying systems.
   • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without permission.
4. User Content and Ownership
   • You retain full ownership of the content you create and upload (e.g., stories, notes, prompts). We do not claim any ownership over your content.
   • You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to operate and improve the Service. We will not use your content for marketing or AI training purposes.
5. Third-Party Services
   • Our Service uses third-party tools and services:
   • Stripe for secure payment processing.
   • OpenAI API for AI-generated outputs.
   • Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and Microsoft Clarity for analytics and user behavior tracking.
   • These services have their own terms and privacy policies, which you agree to by using our Service.
6. Intellectual Property
   • All platform components (e.g., UI, templates, system design, software) are our intellectual property or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute these materials without our written permission.
7. Termination
   • We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. You may cancel your account at any time via your dashboard. Termination does not relieve you of payment obligations already incurred.
8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
   • Our Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, or availability.
   • To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including data loss or business interruption.
9. Changes to Terms
   • We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or through the platform. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance.

11. AI Ethics and Bias Disclaimer
    • Our AI assistant leverages large-scale language models (via OpenAI) to assist with creative writing. These models are trained on publicly available and licensed data and may reflect social biases or systemic inaccuracies present in those data sources.
    • We do not endorse the views or outputs generated by the AI assistant. If you encounter harmful, offensive, or problematic content, we encourage you to contact us immediately so we can investigate and improve safeguards.
12. Age Restriction
    • You may only use the Service if you are at least 16 years old. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet the minimum age requirement applicable in your location.
    • If we become aware that a user does not meet this requirement, we may terminate the account and delete any associated data.
